The project leader is involved in both cross-sectional and longitudinal research of YL's reading and writing, linked to the CEFR. This is done largely through cooperation between her own institution (Bergen University College) and AKSIS at the University of Bergen, who are responsible for the national testing of English in Norway, linked to the CEFR. This cooperation will facilitate the analysis of pupils’ material, through methods developed for this purpose during the national testing. Moreover, the expertise in making reading and writing tasks corresponding for CEFR levels will be drawn upon in the proposed project. The coordinator and team have strong links with EALTA and IATEFL; both of these organisations are concerned with the assessment of YLs, and the position of the CEFR, and both provide fora for discussion and the opportunity for workshops on the results of this project.
